Terms of service

devgate publishes an HTTP or HTTPS service running on your machine at a public URL. You run the agent; devgate terminates TLS on a hostname it controls and forwards traffic to your local port. Accounts are personal — do not share an authtoken with people you would not give your password to.

A tunnel makes whatever you point it at reachable from the internet, so what you serve matters. Do not use devgate for phishing, malware distribution, spam, credential harvesting, content that is illegal where it is served, or scanning and attacking third parties. Do not resell devgate hostnames as anonymising infrastructure.

Reports go to dmitry@devgate.online. Endpoints found serving that material are cut without notice, and the account with them. This is not fine print: a tunnelling service that tolerates abuse gets its whole domain blocked, which breaks every honest user on it.

devgate claims no rights over anything passing through a tunnel. It is routed, metered, and — when the traffic inspector is on — logged as request metadata, nothing more.

Each plan includes a monthly usage credit. On Free and Hobby, endpoints stop serving traffic once the credit is spent; on Pay-as-you-go, usage past the credit is billed at the published metered rates. Prices are on the pricing page and are the same numbers the app bills against.

Payments are processed by Stripe; devgate never sees your card number. Upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades at the end of the billing cycle, and you can cancel at any time from the dashboard. Amounts already billed for a period are not pro-rated back.

devgate is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee and no support SLA on any plan. It is operated by one developer: maintenance happens, connections drop, and a tunnel is not infrastructure to build a production dependency on. Use it for development, demos, webhooks and access to your own devices.

To the extent the law allows, devgate is not liable for losses arising from downtime, data exposed through a tunnel you opened, or content served through your endpoints.

You can delete your account at any time from account settings; endpoints and their data go with it. devgate may suspend an account for the abuse above, for non-payment, or where continuing would put the service or other users at risk — with an explanation to the account address whenever there is time to send one.

These terms change when the product does. Material changes are announced to account addresses before they take effect; the date at the top of this page always says when it was last edited.
